Carmen
She was built by Scheepswerf Harlingen for Owner J.K. Bonninga.
Sold to NZ interest in 1976, then was renamed MOANA and operated predominantly from the Wallis and Futuna Islands and Noumea. In 1981 taken over by the Dunn family in Tonga. The Owner then purchased another Dutch coaster ex Dammers v/d Heide , ANA ISABEL and renamed her MOANA 2 Jan |

Rick, here are another couple of photos.
First one when she already was sold to the Tonga company, she does not look as flash anymore. Second photo in the port of Nuku'Alofa. (photographer credited) Now what's the name of the sleek passenger vessel out there? -photo is from around 1982. Jan Last edited by Jan Hendrik; 30-10-14 at 10:46 AM. |
