Facebook and Coasters-remembered
Dear friends, please not that we created a group on Facebook, called "Friends of Coasters-remembered"
But this Group is not and can`t be a substitute for our "Coasters-remembered", but more like an "extentition", as our content can never be shown like we wish, due to the well known shortcomings of Facebook

Facebook and Coasters-remembered
Dear members,
our Facebook group "Friends of Coasters-remembered can be viewed without registering for membership for FB, as we have set the status of the Group to "Open" Am still hoping that group members will share their excellent contributions with us too. Still searching for the possibility of showing all the content here, but all my efforts have been in vain ....so far Tschüss and all the best Dierk |

Hi Gareth,
thank you very much for your comment. Am trying to convince them since "ages", even did offer to copy it for them, with their permission or creating accounts for them, guess everybody will be very sad, if something like a crash to FB will happen Am gratefull for Leslie, Norman, Ron and Patrick who are posting on CR from time to time would be desolate otherwise Tschüss and all the best Dierk |

Dierk,
I am afraid you are knocking your head against a wall! People, in the main, are creatures of habit and they will either post on Facebook or CR. I prefer the latter personally - as an ongoing tribute to the efforts of those who "have crossed the bar" and laid the foundations for the website content. Keep your chin up! Leslie |

Hi Leslie,
thank you very much for your comment and your efforts Some friends told me that posting comments and uploading of images is easier done on FB and viewing the content as well as uploading via Mobile to CR isn`t working too well either. Did try it out myself, the content of CR can be viewed by mobile, only problem is that each part (or category) consists of new window, which isn`t too practicable when trying to view the whole content. Guess an old fashioned computer desktop is more suited for this....easier for the poor eyes too. But posting on CR via Mobile shouldn`t be a problem, if you don`t use images exceeding 800kb (took Derek`s advise and am downsizing to 1500x1200) Discovered too that the search function isn`t working, at least on mine, window for typing the text did close after some seconds, don`t know if it is due to the elder Android system on my Mobile. Well, am always hoping that some helpfull hands can be found, who assists with the presersation of all "treasures" posted on CR and it`s Facebook Group "Friends of Coasters-remembered" as well. All noted! I will continue in my support of both vehicles to share the images of yesteryear - only wish that time was not such a great enemy to add more photographs from the vaults.
Smooth Seas to all Leslie |
