Tarifa, 1948, imo 5352812
Hi Dierk...
One of my favourite types of ships from the golden age-period of these freighters.... This ship-type represents and contains everything I love to see when I look at a ship... together with the coaster-type of course, an the proud sailing-vessels that concurred our Seas/Oceans all over the Globe... Perhaps too many clues from you made it too easy but nevertheless, she is the "TARIFA" - homeport= Tønsberg, Norway, from Wilhemsen-Line Norway. She was built in Italy by the great "ferry and/or liner-builder" Ansaldo, in Sestri Ponente, as their # 877. She was sold in 1969 and registered to Somalian flag with homeport in Mogadishu. She was broken up in Shanghai 05-05-1972. Rgds Kent

Tough one Dierk
I´m in doubt who to guess on .....
I think that the company have had a lot of vessel of this type, without many differences in structure-gear-equipment-size and so on, but I´ll just have to start from one end in the row of possibilities on this one... I´ll start with two ship names because they are sister ships with no bigger visible differences.... at least none that I can spot when I try to compare photos of them.... So here goes: HINRICH OLDENDORFF, 1956, IMO= 5151268 EIBE OLDENDORFF, 1956, IMO= 5098416 This is my first "shot" Dierk.... What say you Sire.....?
